PHOTO ART
This limited series represents a unique intersection of photography and digital painting, where each image was meticulously hand-brushed in Photoshop using a digital pen and tablet. Unlike automated paint filters or AI-generated effects, this process was entirely manual—every stroke placed with intention, requiring approximately 30 hours per piece to achieve the final result. Each artwork contains thousands of individual strokes, ensuring that every inch is uniquely shaped by my vision, with no two areas left untouched or replicated by automation. Working on large-format photographs, often 45 x 60 inches, I carefully layered fine details to create a richly textured, expressive transformation of my original images.
This series was born out of necessity—a way to stay creatively engaged during my recovery from multiple back surgeries. With limited mobility preventing me from conducting my usual photography work, this method of creation allowed me to remain artistically active. These pieces were completed before the rise of AI-generated art, making their entirely hand-crafted process even more distinct. Now that I have fully recovered, I am dedicating my efforts solely to photography, and these eight works will remain the only pieces ever created in this style. To preserve their significance, only ten limited edition prints of each will be available. If you’re interested, feel free to contact me via email for more details.
